#sixsunday Share – 2nd September
My fourth sharing of six sentences from my WIP – Blue Daisies. This week I am again participating in Six Sentence Sunday where you will find many other writers sharing a small portion of their work.

2nd September Six Sentences
This except is from the start of a scene in the book called “The Mortuary”. It introduces the main character this one scene is built on. I’m trying to create a good hook for each individual chapter, as these are interrelated short stories.
Max hated parties at the best of times. Forced socialisation with people he didn’t like, or hardly cared about — nope, he really didn’t like parties. He was a Billy-No-Mates by choice, mind. Not somebody who had difficulties socialising. He just preferred to be the loner. But a party here — in the middle of a morgue, that was a little different.

That last line sure got me! Party in a morgue? Great little excerpt that really shows the personality of the character.
Very intriguing intro. Who does a party in a morgue? Then again, why not? You caught my attention, so it’s a good six-sentence into in my mind.
Great job.
